The modernisation of cash equipment in the national ABSA bank branches in South Africa continues. West International has received a further order for the next generation of payment terminals that will enable the bank to meet the new, stricter card industry security requirements (PCI and EMV), along with an order for programmable keyboards equipped with card readers and encryption software.
The order value amounts to nearly SEK 4 million and as with previous orders, the equipment will be delivered through Bullion IT, the company’s system integrator in South Africa. Deliveries are expected to take place during the second quarter of 2018.
ABSA Bank is South Africa’s largest bank and they use card terminals from West in all their bank branches.
